Senbatsu member Tokaidai Fukuoka leading a victory against Kokura South : Fukuoka summer preliminary second round

FUKUOKA – Today (7/3) as well, summer preliminary games are still going on Fukuoka. One of notable games that catch on fans radar is the match between Kokura South and one of Senbatsu (Spring Koshien) 2024 member, Tokaidai Fukuoka.

Although their team got defeated by Uji Yamada Shogyo in the first round of Senbatsu, Tokaidai Fukuoka has been showing a great growth in this summer. Facing against Kokura South, they actually got shaked first in the early inning with some miss in the game, allowing the opponent to dominate the game’s flow for a while.

But following the next inning, they start to get used to the situation and stay still from the middle of the game. While Tokaidai leading first with a gap of one run, Kokura consistently follows up the run gap in every single chance they got in each innings. But even so, Tokaidai managed to add one more run after being hold on by their pace.

Kokura South looks like having a big chance to leap over Tokaidai Fukuoka, but they can’t bear the fact Tokaidai is dominating the game at the moment. In the top of ninth inning, Tokaidai started an explosive offense against Kokura, widening the score gap from 4-2 into 8-2. A sudden of four runs added in the last inning.

And after giving their best in the bottom of ninth inning, Kokura have to lose up their summer under the dominance from one of Senbatsu’s participant last spring, Tokaidai Fukuoka with a result of 8-2. Tokaidai Fukuoka passed the second round of tournament, and will be facing North Kyushu team in the third round on 6 July soon.
