Spring Best 4 Kyushu International High took down Kokura Commercial through a called game : Fukuoka summer preliminary second round

FUKUOKA – One of the best four team from the latest Fukuoka Spring tournament, Kyushu International Univ High (Kyukoku) are one step forward into the Summer Koshien soon, by defeating Kokura Cmmercial in the second round. As the team who have been participating 9 times in Summer Koshien, they had to head up their pride as one of the most anticipated powerhouses from Fukuoka.

Kyukoku managed to score first in the first inning with two runs and progressing through the next inning. Their starter pitcher, Imamura Haruki handled the whole inning with a persistent performance, allowed no run recorded in the score box.

Then the offense starts to rising up by the bottom of the third. Kyukoku pushing the pressure to the opponent with a solid offense through continuous hit and timely, allows them to pull up to five runs in only one inning. The gap became wider, resulting in an absolute domination of 7-0 against Kokura Commercial.

But the offense bomb stopped by after that. Both teams are started to show off their solid defense which then ended in the top of seventh inning due to the Mercy Rule (seven gap of runs to end the game in seventh). Kyukoku passed the second round within the confidence as one of the powerhouse that still existing through generations.
